In early action on Friday, Taconite outlasted Chisholm 10-8 while Brookston scored on a Bryce Karppinen hit in the bottom of the eighth to beat Esko 3-2.

8:00 pm - Foley vs. Ely
Eight more games are in store on Saturday, with five in Ely and three more at Soudan's Legion Field. The tournament wraps up with four games Sunday.
