The Sir G's Midsummer Classic gets underway Friday but with one big change: only nine teams will participate instead of 10.
West Duluth pulled out of the event late Tuesday, forcing several adjustments to the schedule. The two-division format with five teams in each division had to be scrapped, in favor of a nine-team, modified round-robin tournament in which all teams will play four games.
The new schedule is as follows:

12:30 p.m. Cloquet vs. Duluth Lakeview
3:00 p.m. Kenyon vs. Deer River
